What are Riso colors?
Riso Inks are translucent and can be overlaid at different transparencies to achieve amazing results and colour combinations. We currently have 10 colours to choose from: Blue, Red, Yellow, Green, Brown, Black, Purple, Teal, Fluorescent Orange, and Fluorescent Pink. We recommend printing with 1- 4 colours.
How many Riso colors are there?
21 standard colors,50 custom colors and special order-made colors are avaiable. A wide range of printing colors can meet the needs of a variety of print jobs.
What are the 4 colors in the printer cartridge?
As we previously mentioned, color printer ink cartridges rely on four colors: black, magenta, cyan, and yellow. These color values can be combined to create every other color when reproducing an image.
Is Riso ink waterproof?
RISO’s oil-based pigment ink is water resistant, even when completely saturated.

- Find inspiration. Look at projects, portfolios, and examples online for inspiration.
- Limit your color palette. We recommend choosing 1 to 4 ink colors per project.
- Design with layers in mind. Each ink color used is printed layer by layer like in screen printing.

What is a 4 color ad?
4-Color Process uses Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black inks. When applied in successive layers, these four ink colors create a full color image. 4-Color Process is the most widely used method for printing full-color images.

A good lifespan for a risograph might involve making 100,000 masters and 5,000,000 copies. Risograph printers use a soy ink made from vegetable soybean oil.

What is Riso printing ink?
When printing colorful zines, posters or comics with a Risograph, you build your print layer by layer. The machine makes a ‘master’ stencil of your design and wraps it around the ink drum. The ink is pushed through the stencil onto the paper as the drum rotates.
Is Riso printing expensive?
Risograph machines work well for big jobs, but are expensive to run for just a few prints. They can also only print one color at a time. Risographs are harder to buy than photocopiers since they are made by just one company.
